Description: This is my first BioRust gallery submission. Granted it is rather meager compared to the pieces in the gallery, I'd just like you to know that without the help and pointers fom the BioRust community I would never have dreamed this possible. Many thanks to all who have helped with advice and tutorials on BioRust. This one's for you!

PS I hope to pratice a little more and really do you proud!

looks real good. real real good.
rings are my downfall, never been good at them.
i would like it if you looked at my space creations and gave me some creative critique.

Thanks Super, there's a great tutorial on planetary rings in the tutorial section go to: http://www.biorust.com/tutorials/detail/54/en/ and that should end your planetary ring woes.

Edit: Heh, as I am such a BioRust Noob, I don't suppose you could give me a few pointers as to how to look for your images could I?

Hey b00sk - pretty good for a first attempt! At least you didn't fall into the trap of overdoing it with the stars - that spoils many an "outer space" scene, I think.

I on the other hand think there are too few. They don't need to be bright, but just a subtle mass of stars usually helps a lot to the final composition. Very good for a first try.

I have steered clear of putting in too many stars as I haven't got round to trying out any star effects. If anyone has a few pointers then I'd be glad to re-do the image, I have added some more shadows to this one to make it a little more realistic but the stars and sun are still a problem (I chickened out of doing a scratch-made sun and just used 'lens flare', if anyone has any ideas on how to achieve some good looking suns/stars I would be most appreciative).

Good job. Easy to look at. Do you know the work of Robert Powers? He was PB illustrator in the 50's and 60's. A lot of SciFi covers. You may find something inspiring.
