Description: This is the revised version of my first post. Apologies if i break rules with regards to re-posting, but I thought it had more character, with the shadows over ther rings and all.

Please tell me if i am already submitting images (or ideas) that have already been offered to BioRUST. I haven't been here long and wouldn't like to offend people with what I think is original, (that actually isn't)

Don't worry, you're not breaking any rules. The only thing that's likely to annoy me is people flooding the Gallery with a large number of (usually poor-quality) images.

As for your image - it's looking pretty good, although I wonder if you've maybe overdone the shadow on the "dark side" of the planet? It seems there's more shadow on the rings than you'd expect to be cast by the main body of the planet.

I agree with tamlin about the rings with one thing to add..
there seems to be a gap in the rings on the far side of the sunlit hemisphere (where the rings would go behind the planet) since there would be no shadowing there, i believe that the rings should continue until they look like they meet the planet.

and right tamlin, the other end of the rings would look better with some light.

I did not see the first image. But I do like the image here. I agree with Tamlin it would look better if you took his advice. But it is well done and thought out.
Keep reaching for the stars.
