Good point. Ok, so here is the explanation. First off it is of course a self-portrait. However there is much going on here under the surface. My favorite color is purl purple however you will most likely never se a picture in purple from me

however for my pieces my favorite colors are earth tones; specifically ambers. Hence the color scheme I chose here. Also even though it is a self-portrait you cant really see my face all that well, that is because I would not consider myself to be an attractive man, LOL. Now look closely at the window behind me. A window behind a subject represents the subconscious mind. And if you look closely you will see a child inside the room looking out the window. You may even be able to pick up the emotional feeling from the pose. This is me wandering around in my mind for inspirations. Most of which are in that same emotional feeling, since my work is as therapy to me. Hence you will see disturbing subjects coming out in my work so that I may confront them. Enjoy..
