Description: This was purely an exercise. This image was adjusted purely using selective colour in Photoshop. I tend to use it when contract between light and shade is very strong and its seems to work better than the curve.

Oh cool, your robin's over there do have the orange or red on their chest. All the pictures I have seen so far I wasn't seeing that. Our robins do not have the same feathering on thier back. Yours seem to have spots. But back to the photography. Nice capture. She sat their nicely for you. I have been trying to capture birds all week and it's hard.(maybe I shouldn't bring the dog, might be easier) but you got such a clear, detailed picture. Nice job!

Hi Nancy, I had the dog with me birds don't seem to be a problem when he is around providing the are small. This is a young robin, he still has his juvenile feathers around his head and neck. Young robins seem not to fly away from us humans as much. As we were picking wild bilberries (a smaller cousin to the blueberry) he was coming close up to us.
