Description: Shot with my new len Canon EF16-35mm L USM II. This len it's just fantastic. Vignetting is present only at the widest range but is smooth with a nice effect...distortion under 20mm makes beautiful and exclusive shots(well...I like). Detail is sharp and colors are vivid. Chromatic aberration is almost absent.
This len is perfect for a first buy len.

That's certainly a beautiful, clean shot. Looks like that lens was a good investment.

Yes Tamlin, this len was an excellent investment...I now have what I call the "Fantastic Trio" (16-35/24-70/70-200...f/2.8 L-series) but this one was a real surprise to me. I'm already thinking on my new investment...perhaps a new full frame camera (5D Mark II)to take full advantage of this "babys" or maybe a fixed range len...how about the 500mm...what's your oppinion ?

Well, it depends on how much money you've got to spend and the type of photos you normally take - and how happy you are with your current camera. I can't imagine you'd find much use for a 500mm lens unless you're into nature or sport photography in a big way - or you want to join the paparazzi, spying on celebrities sunbathing topless!

Ahaha...you are right...and I still have the 2x extender for the 70-200mm len...well, but that paparazzi life doesn't seem too bad...I'll wait for the new 5D. Thank's for your oppinion Tamlin.

Nice clean shot. You might try adding a macro lense to your arsenal.

yep... nice one... I like how you used the trees in foreground to frame it a bit too.
