It looks OK to me (and I'm no expert when it comes to 2D artwork), but maybe you could try using a softer-edged brush so that the edges of the lines aren't so sharp?

The silhuette look with the figures adds a good size to your Alien/Monster. Nice texture on the shell/Armor. Did you design him yourself? Very creative. I couldn't create my own charactor to save my soul I dont think. Good job!
