Category: BioRUST.com :: User GalleryMain Submission Galleries2D Artwork
Description: I spent some fantastic days on a small island on Dalälven, in the Baltic sea
The island is now for sale, so if you ever thought of buying your own island, this is a big chance:

Awesome job Ken! I love the reflection on the water the most. Your eye is just lead to a spot where you want to know where the creek is going. What medium where you using for this painting?

Hi Nanc! (Thanks) I was just to upload the original picture..
I used Photoshop as usual but Painter for the painting effects.
The palette knife was really good (first time I used!)

Re: Small Island In Dalälven

Really that was the palette knife? I never would have guessed. That is a pretty cool tool to use! Which Painter do you use? I forget. I have IX. I painted SuperTackyman in Corel painter and just added text and the plastic wrap to the goop. I really like Corel Painter. I tend to use photoshop just for the photo touch ups and text and Corel Painter for all the painting. Always love to see your work!

Re: Small Island In Dalälven

I used the palette knife, mostly for the water effects in this work and I use Corel painter 11.
Just like you, I more or less use Painter as a tool, even though I bought several books on the subject. I still prefer Photoshop.
By the way here is my original photo!
