I like the effect! totally off subject but do you use a rain coat or what ever they call it to protect your camera when its sandy and windy like this? I have been using plastic bags . I cut a hole in the bag bottom usually a ziplock which we have here not sure if you do there. Then I pull it tight over the end of the lens and use a rubber band or a hair tie in most cases as they are handy to keep the bag on. With my long lens I usually have to use two bags. One over the body and one that goes over the lens and body. I keep it as closed as I can and it keeps my camera pretty clean. I want to buy one of those professional raincoats or hoods what ever they call them.

Thanks Nancy. I didn't take any precautions on this particular trip because we weren't expecting the weather to be quite so bad, so I was lucky I guess. I think I'll include some sort of plastic bag with my camera gear in the future, though!
