Poor planet?

Description: Okey, so this is my most recent artwork. Figured I'd test some planet tutorials and see wich one produced the best result. And then I tried to make a picture in my own style from that one. Star Wars-style. The planet tutorial and texture comes from dr. Photoshop, although I made the planet myself. Yes of course I did.

The only thing that I'm not really happy about here, is that you can see the edges of the different texture pieces in the planet. It is most visible to the right of the picture, althuogh you'll only see it if you watch for a while. Unfortunatley, me myself did not see it before I converted it to .jpg. And by then, I didn't want to go back. c3400 is lazy sometimes.

And just to make sure nobody would like to sue me, I say that the Death Star, and the film Star Wars, are all coprighted by Lucasfilm Ltd. Now, that wasn't any technical language, but I'm convinced you all understood what I meant...

Yeah, I see what you mean about the planet texture - there seems to be a few straight lines in there that sort of spoil the effect. You could easily disguise these with either the Clone Stamp Tool or one of the Healing Brush tools though. Did you make the Death Star thingy? That's really good.

If you brush on your texture with a soft edged brush you dont get that.

Answer to tamlin:
Oh, no, no... I didn't. But I hope you like this picture anyway..!
The Death Star is just something I found at google. I just cut it out, resized it, and pasted it in. I did a little color tweaking too, to make the shadowy areas look even more black.

Continued answer to tamlin:
And you are right, actually.. I don't have to go back to the .psd-file, I can just do a litle bit of stamping directly above the .jpg. I'll go do it directly, and upload the new result. See you again!

Not any answer at all, just an edit:
Hey! "Poor Planet? v.2" is up and running! Go check it out, you'll find it in my gallery.
