I like this. So many scar/decay images are overdone, and your restraint in applying the scars (or thingies since you're not calling them scars?) makes your image stand out. The simplicity makes it creepy in an original kind of way.

I agree with candlefish - too many of these kind of images are over-the-top, and focus mainly on the face. Your restraint and choice of subject have made a truly original and subtly disturbing image. The reddening at the bottom end of the cut is maybe a little too strong, but that's a minor point. Overall, an excellent piece of work.
