LOL! I just love the composition of this piece! The expression of the old gentleman is just priceless too... and makes you wonder what on earth he was dreaming about! That said, the picture is unfortunately a tad too bright and vivid for the rest of the image, which makes it appear 'pasted' onto the underlying surface rather than actally being painted onto it. The same could be said about the sharp edges around the picture of the woman. It's nothing that a little fiddling in Curves/Brightness/Contrast dialogs couldn't fix though...

I actually thought that the brightness of the image was fitting. it's very vivid cause he's daydreaming. it's like a mirage.
the part that i think needs adjustment is the shape of the girl photo itself. the wall it's on has a 'corner' of sorts in the middle, but the photo is straight on. I think the right side need to be pulled up and backwards a little bit, the left backwards a little bit, the center stay exactly where it is. and something down about the bottom corners of the girl photo. making them even with the boards on the wall.

Well guys, it's good to finally have constructive criticism. On most art sites, people say, "it's great or that sucks with no explanation." So, it's refreshing to get some actual critiques. I took them into consideration and used suggestions from both. Let me know what'cha think.

This picture says it all. Everyone knows that when we get too old to get it up that we are surrounded by beautiful women and can’t do a darn thing about it. Her expression is priceless.....Like "I am sexy and you know it". It would be cool to do a second one that shocks everyone. IE: The woman reached out her can and holds the old man's hand. It would leave everyone thinking "is that real or is the old man dreaming.... HAHA

It pretty much sucks.
All you did was slap one image on top of another and just change the layer setting.
There really is nothing to crit.
This probably took you about 5 minutes. Basically you got some crap stock images and layered them together. There is no real skill in doing this. You could've atleast made a f**king mask around the girl so you dont just stick on a whole crappy image.

That's kind of a harsh crit.
whether or not it's your opinion, i don't like crits like that because they're not really helpful at all.
but i suppose that's just my opinion.
onto the picture.
i think you should bring up the bottom of the girl picture. it's right below the crease of the board, which just catches my eye for some reason.
I like the idea about the girl reaching out to the guy, I had actually thought of saying that in my first post, but i wanted to try it for myself, hehe...it's definitely looking better though. although i liked the brightness of the first image...but that's just me.

Yeah, milkdrop I don't mind you not liking the image, and you're right it didn't take long. It's an idea I wanted to express, and posting it, is a means of working it out.
However, save your aggression for the gym, exercise or some severe eating disorder. It doesn't profit you to slam other people's work. I thought about going to your gallery to do the same, but that wouldn't prove my point. What you dish out to others comes back around. If you offer your opinions like that in your daily life, don't be suprised when people don't want your company.

To be quite honest I would prefer someone to rip me to peices rather than just take pity on me. I would rather be told the truth than fed a load of lies. It happens to everyone. i remember back in the good old days, which were a while back, i would always get bad reviews. I would just grit my teeth and think about what they had said, and they were usually correct.
You could go into my gallery and slam me if you want. I wouldn't really mind and yes you would profit from it. You would make a point that was honest and not just a lie. It takes some guts to say what you really think about something. I truly respect those people. Even if the consequences are abit bleek.
Well keep on practicing. Learn something other than just photoshop and you shall progress alot more. Start reading about the industry and looking at industry standard work.

Please keep your criticism objective Milkdrop. Whilst you are, of course, free to offer criticism there is really no need to be offensive with it... and there is certainly no justification for swearing.
