I personally adore the eyes. The rest seems like testing you were doing to get a feel, very normal. I could wish the second piece I did came out so nice.

I would agree... I am a sucker for eyes and this piece simply draws me in. Very nice work! Keep experimenting your on a role. Be careful with the fades. The two blue wings or leaves could have a hard edge which would not take away from the beauty of her face but would make it more believable that she is behind them. I get the sense that she is hiding or shy. You have conveyed feeling very well here.
