Description: After completing a tutorial in a photoshop magazine using this concept, I decided to re-do the image and change things up a bit. So, technically not an original idea, but my artwork all the same. Please comment.

thanks for the input bengigirl. The black in the hair was experimenting with stroking paths with simulated pressure. I wish it had come out a little better myself...

Well done. Is that part hand drawn/pen tool? Good use of color.

Love the use of colors and the drama of the photograph! Keep up the good work.

Nice coloring. And the "mood" of the work is a bit mysterious.

Thanks for the comments everyone. The piece is partially hand drawn, then scanned in. I had a lot of fun with this piece, and I'm glad everyone liked it!

I think what makes this work for me are the wonderful contrasting colors, almost like a matisse palette but contemporary, alive and vivid. I like it!
