Description: This is finally the end for this baby. I spent an extra five hours on it today. I think it looks pretty realstic. Its a shame that the render quailty is just a bit low. It is almost faultless. If anyone would liek to see more of the details i would be more than happy to provide some more renders. I modelled every detail down to the last screw!

I decided to make the neck a cherry red colour since you dont often see this.

The pickups and hardware were modelled from my brothers custom built guitar. I got the blueprints for the design from a friend who plans to build this thing.

This is possibly my most proudest work. I wish i now put my name on it, or some one might rip it lol.

The base of it look really realistic, almost had me fooled. Well done on it, you must be very patient to do that.

I would rate it but I don't know much about 3d renders so I wouldn't wanna give an unfair rating

Its all realistic baby lol. Yeah the base took alot of time to get the material just right. It also looks better because i modelled very screw and detail on the base inside out. The neck on the other hand is plain and simple. It is a solid neck, wehich is made from one bit of wood. It took about 13 hours of solid work.

An excellent 3D render 5-0 - the level of detail is highly realistic and gives the guitar an almost 'weighty' feel which is lacking in many other 3D renders. That said, a bit of Photoshop work could be done to try and 'sell' the piece though. i.e. windows with closeups of detail, etc. I reckon with those additions you'd get a 10/10 from everyone on these forums!

I think i may go away and do what you just suggested mog. some of the things in this render cannot be veiwed. People cannot beleive that i modelled booth engineer screws and philip head screws. Iv gotta show off some of the more techniqcal areas. even the knobs have a line gripping going around them. I shall show those off tomorrow when i make some more closeup renders.

nah it took just 3 days. It should usually take me a week but i learnt some new effeciency benefits in modelling. Thanks for your opinion. Maybe others will start getting into 3d. Im glad to see that many of us are heading down the 3d route on this message board.

Thanks for your praise muffins.
