Description: More photos from Bolsover Castle. This shot was taken, as the title says, from the Gallery. Once, this was an opulently furnished room that ran the length of one side of the castle with magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. Now the roof and the glass from the windows have gone, but the view remains. For some reason, this has a sort of Mediterranean feel to me.

I admire the way you add the history to the photo in your details section, it would be just a photo had you not done that on all of 'em.

Yet another photo that takes my breath away. It reminds me of a painting or part of one, but I can't place it right now.

The blue sky and white clouds are a bit like something by Magritte, maybe?

The photo is awesome of course. I'd like to see more detail of the wall in front (not as part of the photo, but just in general). It looks as if it was very decorative with those squares and carvings. Basically, I guess I just need to go there myself... that's what your photos do for me Tamlin; they make me want to go to those locations because they are so good!

I want a copy of the book too!

I agree with foggyrain. To see more of the geometric shapes and texture of the wall would be very interesting in itself. Yes, T, your head must be ready to explode!! lol
