Nice portrait. Try not to center the subject so much and try playing around with the some adjustments layers to alter hue/saturation and maybe even the levels to darken up the image.

Excellent portrait. Personally, I think the levels here are fine - any more contrast would risk making the image harsh. The only thing I might do would be to crop the right side to the point where the edge of the model's arm meets the bottom border.

I agree with Tamlin's reframing idea... that would take care of the centering issue and put more emphasis on the model...

Great shot though... the levels are just fine and I now my monitor is pretty accurately calibrated.

Would love to see more of your work!

Thanks for the comments guys, I will try cropping as Tamlin suggests, it'll take care of the centering. The only editing I do to my photos is to use autocontrast

I used a Canon Powershot G7 here
